Byron Malone is the founder and editor of Bedrocka Tools, the verifiable calculator company, and the founder of Bedrocka Ventures, the AI-native holding company that operates Bedrocka Tools alongside other ventures.
Byron is an operator-author — he runs the math, shows the work, and cites every source. He is not a licensed attorney. The calculators on this site are designed to make readers better-informed participants in legal proceedings and better-prepared buyers of professional legal advice. They are not a substitute for consulting a licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction. See the disclaimer for the full terms.
Beyond his operating experience, Byron has spent fifteen years working alongside companies, operators, founders, and consulting partners — helping them translate complex decisions into structured frameworks through technology, AI automation, and systematic analysis. That work produced a consistent observation: the people most affected by legal proceedings often have the least access to the underlying math. Child-support guideline formulas are published by every state, but almost nowhere are they explained clearly with the actual arithmetic. Lost-wages present-value calculations appear in expert reports at trial, but rarely in plain language before a claimant walks into a settlement negotiation. Contingency fee ranges are regulated by state bar rules, but the fee-on-net-versus-gross distinction can change what a claimant receives by tens of thousands of dollars — and most clients never see the math.
Bedrocka Tools is the response to that observation. Open math. Cited sources. Real humans accountable for the work. The brand commits to three pillars: every formula is open-source on GitHub under MIT license; every assumption is cited to an authoritative primary source (state child-support statute, BLS Work-Life Table, IRC section, ABA Model Rule, state bar fee rule); every page has a real named reviewer with public accountability. The operating model is AI-native by design, with documented human review at every gate. For content covering prescriptive legal strategy — settlement acceptance recommendations, alimony structuring, business-valuation-for-divorce expert opinions — Bedrocka Tools commits to review by a credentialed licensed attorney before publication. The Day-1 stubs (child support, lost wages, contingency fee) are pure-math estimators that do not constitute legal advice.
